2002 Season - Week 19
Divisional Match-Ups
The Steelers-Titans match-up was another postseason epic with momentum switching so often it must’ve thought it was at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Two new boys with great future’s (Vick and Pennington) learnt a few lessons. There will not be a new winner of the BUMSBowl, all those through to the Championship stage are previous winners. Chief (2000 winner) put up an impressive 25-0 first quarter lead over Aaron and cruised through the rest of the tie. Mark (1998 winner) had to wait until the fourth quarter before he upset Stampy in the shoot-out of the weekend. Marcus (Last Years Winner) held Wayne to 3 second half points as he provided the second upset of the round. Finally two time winner (1996 & 1999) Daz held off Paul in the closest game 25-22. The big four go Head-to Head as follows Gareth (1) v Mark (12) and Daz (8) v Marcus (11). TEAMS to me by FRIDAY 9pm.
Draft Order
In the same way the play-off seedings work the draft order is based on lowest scorer to highest scorer irrespective of division. Therefore Dave G has the first pick and Gareth will have the 16th. The full order is Dave G, Aaron, Andy H, Cheryl, Mark, Marcus, Paul, John, Daz, Ron, AP, Johnny, Wayne, David S, Phil and Gareth. Ron will have an extra pick at the end of the 3rd round as he will sign his first Franchise Player this month. Marcus will have an extra pick at the end of the 5th round as he cut his 1st year franchise man due to injury.
All-Time Points Leader
The calculations have been made and Johnny continues to be the All-Time leading points scorer (See attached). Chief’s Championship season means he has moved above Mark and into second place. Rookie Ron has taken over the highest average score leader as his one season 468 points just surpasses Johnny’s 464.8 average amassed over an 8 year period.
